Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg
Pittsburg, Kansas
Constructed in 1911The Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg was constructed in 1911. The focus of the original church was on worship and not the day-to-day activities of the current day facility. Phase I was to complete an evaluation of the existing facility. Once it was determined that it was an economically sound decision to invest in the original structure, Phase II was implemented. This phase included a partial renovation and the major addition of Church Offices, Hagman Chapel, Classrooms and a 3,600 square foot Leffler Life Center to accommodate social activities of all ages. One prominent feature of the addition is the twenty-four foot diameter stained glass dome in the Hagman Chapel that had been salvaged from an earlier church that had been demolished. |
