Original Construction in 1908Russ Hall is an important symbol for Pittsburg State University. Since its original construction in 1908, it has housed the University’s main administration offices as well as classroom facilities. The project involved the rehabilitation of Russ Hall so that it could serve the educational and space requirements of the University well into the next century. This included incorporating the use of Interactive Distance Learning and Electronic Instructional Teaching spaces within the facility. The building complies with accessibility standards and life safety and building codes. It has been designed to provide for efficient and functional administrative and teaching spaces with much emphasis given to public areas inside and outside the building. Interior design services included: furniture selection and procurement; and interior finishes. |
