Expansion/Renovation

Treanor Architects, P.A. was hired to provide programming and architectural design for the expansion and renovation of the current facility. The expansion/renovation will occur in two phases over the next five to ten years. Phase I will be the addition of six holding cells in the offenders holding area and three to four administrative offices.

Phase II will be the expansion and renovation of the day school area and the intake and assessment center. Preliminary plans include the addition of four classrooms, one recreation area, restroom facilities, and one teacher preparation area to the day school area. This addition will allow the facility to accommodate 60 additional students. The intake and assessment center will include one living space large enough to accommodate four juveniles, a restroom including shower facilities, and one office space large enough to hold meetings with parents and youths. The intake and assessment center will have a separate outside entrance, and sight and sound separation from other youth service operations.
