Contemporary Upgrades

Built in the early 1950’s the existing courthouse located on Main Street, had replaced a grand turn of the century building. The new courthouse combines the character of the original courthouse, with large arched openings predominant on this downtown street. The contemporary curve at the entrance gives light and an inviting approach from multiple directions. The new 96,000 sq. ft. courthouse includes four courtrooms and associated judicial spaces for the fifth district court. The owner enthusiastically embraced state-of-the-art technology to create secure courtrooms that are the most technologically advanced in the Midwest.
