Eight-Story, 104,000 Square Foot Addition

The Haworth Hall addition, containing laboratories and offices for the Division of Biological Sciences, is an eight-story, 104,000 square foot addition to the original Haworth Hall Building.

The addition provides a variety of technology and laboratory spaces. Exterior and interior chases allow for connection of utilities, services, air and exhaust on a very flexible basis.

Research greenhouses occupy a portion of a screened roof area with direct access to laboratory and offices that support them. A 175-seat lecture auditorium is heavily utilized.

The building connects to the Malott Hall Addition with a two-story pedestrian and laboratory support bridge, which becomes a link in the cross-campus barrier-free route.
