Housing Analysis

Residential LifeWashburn University intended to transform the present day commuter school back to a university and attract more traditional students. From past studies and research they realized in order to meet this goal, good housing option needed to be available for their students. Embarking on a plan to quadruple the capacity of their on-campus housing, they had recently completed a new 400 person Living Learning Center in August of 2001 primarily targeted toward freshman students. Due to the tremendous response for the housing project, it become apparent that more housing would be necessary to fulfill the needs of students as they became upper classmen. Treanor Architects was hired by the University to complete a Housing Analysis to be used in the development of the next step in their Residential Life program. The scope of the study included: |
