Emprise Bank
Wichita, KS

Banking Center

Located on the bustling and expanding Wakarusa corridor, Emprise bank was built to serve as the regional headquarter for the Wichita-based bank. The bank features a brick and limestone facade over block structural walls. The tumbled limestone base was quarried in central Kansas and makes a strong foundation, grounding the building to the earth. The lobby features a grand barrel vaulted ceiling with curved wood beams across the length of the lobby, highlighting the original landscape painting by Stand Herd located opposite the conference room. The central feature of the lobby is a circular greeter station with indigenous tuxedo gray polished limestone t ops that are laden with pre-historic fossils. The floor is a mix of large concrete pavers nestled between wood strips creating a skewed grid pattern. The roof is a variegated mix of concrete tiles with copper accents. The chose of materials and design creates a building with timeless and enduring power.
