Elementary School

Being one of the oldest schools in historic, old east Lawrence, the project included a renovation and addition to the existing building. The renovation provided a new mechanical and electrical system while maintaining the supporting offices. The renovation involved the transformation of the existing gym into a new gymnasium, kitchen, storage area, and restrooms. Given that the building is a historic structure, it was essential in the design of the addition not to compete with or detract from the existing architecture.
