New YMCA Facility in Southwest Topeka

Treanor Architects, P.A. was hired as part of a Design/Build team with J.E.Dunn for a new YMCA Facility in Southwest Topeka. The facility is approximately 40,000 square feet and includes an aquatics center and family recreation area. The natatorium includes a family pool and lap pool with four lap lanes of 25 meters, zero entry, double slide and child flotation toys; whirlpool sauna and steam room. The new facility also includes a wellness center containing a cardiovascular area, free weights, circuit training and track; multipurpose room for aerobics; a total wellness testing center with consultation area and limited equipment; youth/teen center providing a game room, treadmill, cardiovascular and weight equipment, and a gymnasium, locker rooms, baby-sitting center and administrative area.
