Classrooms and Laboratories

Cleveland Chiropractic College's new Kansas City location in is an existing facility sited on 29 acres in Overland Park, Kansas. With 130,000 square feet, the property has enough space to accommodate the College's current needs and allow for future expansion, including a planned auditorium and laboratory wing. The College also purchased an adjacent property and its newer 45,000 square foot building, bringing their new campus footprint to 35 acres.

A complete gut-out of the existing building was required to accommodate the College's needs. In addition to a full human anatomy laboratory, chemistry laboratory, lecture rooms, and specialized chiropractic adjustment labs, the building houses a state-of-the-art library, public health center and chiropractic clinic, a full service cafeteria and dining room, faculty and administrative offices as well as conference centers. Classrooms and laboratories offer state-of-the-art furnishings and technology.

The administrative and faculty areas were designed with both students and teachers in mind. Moveable seating provides flexibility in most classrooms and the large lecture rooms, while a prototype classroom with seating risers was designed to experiment with fixed seating and leading-edge audiovisual technology. Most classrooms, laboratories, and lecture rooms have been outfitted with the same multimedia, network-connected equipment, and the entire building is on a wireless network for student convenience.
