Upperclassman Housing

Treanor Architects designed three separate residential-style dormitory buildings for senior students at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. Each house contains 47 beds in single suite-style sleeping units. The three-story buildings will be primarily wood frame construction. The first floor features multiple living and learning spaces including a large living room, kitchen and conference room.

The garden level includes a living room and laundry room separated by a glass wall to allow students to keep an eye on their laundry. The new brick buildings are traditional in style and follow the design guidelines outline in the Millsaps Campus Plan. The middle building will feature a pediment and columns on plinths to serve as the center point of the three buildings.
